Pros: economical, energy saving Cons: a bit pricey |

My mum and I have a new kettle since last week- the Kenwood JK450. We decided to get this one because it is an energy saving one. But there`s more about it: It is made of see-through material what makes it really easy to bring to the boil an exact amount of water- no more and no less. That`s cool because you don`t waste energy by boiling more water than you actually need. Another thing I really like about this kettle is that it brings the water to boil extremely fast. A cup of water for example is hot in 30 minutes and even if you fill the kettle to its maximum capacity (1,7l) it does a better job than our old one did. Futhermore the Kenwood JK450 has one of these removable fine mesh filters what I think is a very healthy thing as the mesh kinda filters the water from lime and other stuff. The perfect kettle?! Well yes, in a way but there are two cons about this kettle: 1st: It is white! How impractical. You can see every little stain or scrach. I`d rather have a black or blue one. That looks more stylish anyways. 2nd: It`s a bit pricey. My mum ordered ours for 39 quid on www.marshallward.co.uk. On the other hand considering the energy costs you save by using this kettle 39 quid is a reasonable price. However, apart from being a bit pricey this is a kettle I can recommend to you. |
