Two days ago I got a parcel from a German friend. Besides loads of typical German sweets, coffee and other stuff she sent me an Impulse Vanilla Kisses bodyspray. As I am not sure about its availability in England my review will refer to this German Impulse. ***Smell*** This deodorant has an overpowering and sweet scent which lasts all day long. It reminds me of vanilla ice-cream. I know a lot of people who dislike this strong and sweet odour. Well, it can make you sick if you use too much of it. I`m not using it as an antiperspirant anyways since it doesn`t keep me fresh very long. I rather apply it as a perfume. However, you should use it as spare as possible as it smells very strong. Also it spreads very quickly and so leaves a strong vanilla scent at the place you`ve used it. ***Packaging and Design*** Impulse has changed the can`s design quite a few times over the years. Recently the Impulse Vanilla Kisses bodyspray cans come with an ergonomically swung design. They don`t have a seperate lid and close by twisting the can`s upper part. That`s actually a very handy thing as you can`t lose the lid any more. The can itself comes with an orangish flowering on a delicate pink and white background. ***Ingredients*** Alcohol Denat, Butane, Isobutane, Propane, Parfum, Isopropyl Myristate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Hydroxyisohexyl 3 - Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Linalool. ***Price, Availability and Size*** As I mentioned above I`m not sure about the availability of this bodyspray in the UK but you can definitely order it online, e.g. on www.ebay.com. The can is sized 75ml and costs under 2€ depending on where you get it. My friend bought it for 1,29€ on offer. Whether 1,99€ or 1,29€ - both pricings are reasonable for such a long lasting and yielding bodyspray. ***Summary*** You`ll either love or hate this bodyspray depending on whether you prefer fruity and fresh fragrances or musky and sweet ones like Impulse Vanilla Kisses. I`d say this bodyspray is a must-have for vanilla lovers as well as it is a product worth trying for those who like sweet fragrances. Just try and see yourselves! |
