Today I wan`t to review my mum`s favourite biscuits: OREO - SANDWICH BISCUITS! Actually she should be writing this review as they are HER favourite ones not mine but she`s not keen on using the internet at all. So this is my job now. :)

Oreo is a popular sandwich cookie that consists of two circular chocolate biscuits wich sandwich a white cream filling. They were first introduced in 1912 in America and then became the best-selling biscuit of the 20th century. They are currently manufactured by the Nabisco Division of Kraft Foods.

Surely most of you guys out there have eaten Oreos at least once in their lives and either loved them or absolutely disliked them. The best example I can give you is my mum and me. Unlike me she`s almost addicted to them. I myself think there are much tastier biscuits on earth than those. Why? Well, find out reading my review. :)

So what`s this biscuit like?
The two circular chocolate biscuits mentioned above have an unnatural black colour (Don`t tell me this is caused just by the use of cocoa powder!) and a sort of bitter taste. Inbetween these biscuits is a thin layer of sweet, white cream filling which tastes very nice and is supposed to balance out the bitterness caused by the two biscuits. To me it doesn`t. There`s just too little of this delicious filling to even out such bitterness. Eating these biscuits as a whole is kind of OK but as soon as you part them they simply taste too harsh.

Well, I think this is why my mum likes them that much. She just doesn`t like sweets that are "too sweet". Not my cuppa tea. If you don`t want sweets, don`t eat `em... .

Also I think that these biscuits are too dry. You can`t even break them in two properly as they fall apart completely then.

The main ingredients of these biscuits are the following:
sugar, enriched flour, high oleic canola oil and/or palm oil and/or canola oil, cocoa, high fructose corn syrup, baking soda, salt, soy lecithin, vanillin-an artificial flavour, chocolate

In short: A lot of really unhealthy stuff. For those with allergies: It may also contain sesame seeds and traces of nuts. Two buiscuits which is half a snack pack contains 4.6g fat and 103 calories what is kinda light for biscuits.

Packaging and Pricing
Oreos come in a blue packet with a big "OREO" lettering and several Oreos on the front. In England you`ll usually find packets containing 4 snack packs prized around 59p at Sainsbury or 87p at Tesco. Don`t know about other suppliers.

Conclusion
If you`re a lover of bitter chocolate and biscuits Oreos might be alright for you. If not, better stay with your HobNobs or whatever.

Hey thanks for your review. Haven't tried them yet because the colour scares me. But there are times where I like to try them. So I will just for the craic :)
