I gave this watch to my friend on his birthday last year. He saw it and loved it. The design is exceptional, the functions a wide and the wearing comfort is great. I paid £ 190 for it on the internet. I just knew Suunto as producer of scuba diving computers. When I saw the watch while checking out the website of Suunto for a new computer, I knew this on eis the right one for my boyfriend. He owned a swatch, but after 8 years he was looking for a new one but just didn’t find the right one. We are doing a lot of sports also hiking, biking and scuba diving. So he was looking for a watch which is stylish as he works in a bank, but also functional and water resistant for our leisure time. The Sunnto X-Lander has both. It is a multifunctional watch, I’m going to explain the Function later, and an elegant and stylish silver with a black wristband watch. The features It has an altimeter up to 9000 m, which is quite enough for all summits in the Himalaya and an altitude alarm. The Suunto X-Lander also has memory functions, like a logbook (which is perhaps transfered from the diving computers) and a barometer (range 300 – 1100 mbar). The watch has also an electronic compass, which displays the cardinal or the half-cardinal point and the North-South arrow. It is possible to set it to track a certain bearing, so you can follow a track. Also it is possible to correct the difference between the true North and magnetic North. The normal features, a sportific watch should have, are also included, like a stopwatch with split timer, a countdown timer, 3 daily alarms and a preprogrammed calendar. Some technical features The logbook has a capacity of 8 kB. The calendar is preprogrammed to the year 2089. It is water resistant to 30 m. The material The wristband is a leather strap. The case is out of aluminium, which is non-allergenic, and has a carbon fiber back. The glass is a durable mineral crystal glass. It weights 55 g. The use It is very user-friendly. The display is big and has backlight. I bought one with a negative face, so it has white numbers and a black back. The positive face has a fabric strap and everyone has such a watch. The batteries were exchanged last week which was about £ 6. The strap shows first signs of tearing. Friends, working in a clockshop, recommend a plastic strap which runs about £ 15. The strap seems to be the weakness of this model. The four buttons are easy to use even for big male fingers. Ok perhaps I should explain why it is the perfect friday watch. After a week in the office friday noon comes closer. With this one you just can get out of the office and start your adventure weekend. It is just perfect for all occasions. |

| Yeah that`s pretty expensive but probably this is what you`ve got to pay for a good outdoor computer. I mean, it`s not simply a watch. PS: Grundlosmoni, you missed an o in Bloody hell! ;) |
