With the following review I want to introduce you to my recently bought digital camera: A ‘Canon IXUS 80 IS Digital Camera’. After a lot of internet research I decided to buy that one although it is quite expensive. I got it on Ebay for 150 quid. That`s a lot but by now I`d say that it is really worth it. So what is it like? Design: The Canon IXUS 80IS is available in 4 stylish colours: Classic Silver, Candy Pink, Caramel, Chocolate and it is made of high quality aluminium. I bought a chocolate one but to me it looks more kinda purple what is really nice and stylish. It comes with a 2.5” LCD screen so you can easily share your pics with a group. It is sized 87 x 55 x 22 mm and weighs just 125g. That makes my new camera a very handy one. Before telling you about my own experience with this camera I wan`t to introduce you to … … the most important features: • 8.0 Megapixels • 3x optical zoom with optical IS what helps capturing blur-free images in low-light and when shooting with the zoom. • Motion Detection Technology: detects camera shake and subject movement, and then adjusts ISO to combat blur while maximising image quality • Face Detection Technology: automatically setting optimum focus, exposure, flash and white balance, allows to focus a certain person in a crowd through Face Select and Track • Red-Eye Correction: removes red-eyes not only as you shoot but also during playback mode • DIGIC III processor and iSAPS: provides lightning quick responses, iSAPS technology uses shooting scene data to optimise camera settings even before a shot is taken • 2.5" PureColor LCD II screen: wide viewing angle, great colour contrast and high resolution, clear previews of snapshots and videos, keeping the screen visible under bright light • 18 Shooting Modes … include Sunset, Beach and Fireworks Special Scene modes • Creative movie options … such as 'digital macro' and 'my colours' allows you to really explore your creative side • Movie Options: Movie modes include Long Play for VGA (30fps) clips that use half the normal memory card space, includes accelerated playback • Self timer delay My experience with the ‘Canon IXUS 80 IS Digital Camera’: I`ve bought my Canon 2 month ago and honestly: It`s just great! Whatever the conditions are like- the result is always a very clear and blur free picture. The optical image stabilisation is extremely helpful if you have difficulties holding your camera steady during exposure or when taking pics of moving objects such as animals or children. There`s just one thing that bothers me with my new cam: The flash recycle time. With the flash turned on, the camera takes 3.5 seconds between shots what I think is too long to recycle. Apart from that I can only recommend this digital camera- nothing else to criticise. Hope this helps making the right purchase decision. |

| Thanks. I really don´t think that Canon is good. You pay only for the brand and not for quality---> Kodak, Sony and Fujifilm are better, just n advice ;) |
