I`ve always been a big fan of Nivea products. I love their facial creams and body lotions since they`re extremely soothing and moisturizing and therefore ideal for my dry skin. So I thought: Why not try one of their deodorants, too?! I`ve been a bit sceptical though because brands known for their crèmes usually don`t produce other high quality body care products. Still I bought one on shop offer for 1,50 quid at Boots one month ago. So what is it like? This deodorant appears white in colour and creamy inside the bottle. When you apply it it's just clear and needs a while to dry. A really big advantage: It doesn`t leave white marks. Also, it contains no alcohol, colourants or preservatives and it is dermatologically approved. I do find it very soft and gentle (This is what Nivea products are known for!). You can use it after shaving without your skin leaving irritated. Although there`s no alcohol it has got an anti perspirant protection what helps to protect sweating too much. Nivea Pearl&Beaty comes with a lovely fresh fragrance that is hardly described ... It is nothing too strong … has a (very) light musk- note … and reminds me of the typical fresh Nivea crème scent. Packaging This roll-on comes in a small glass bottle with a round white screw on lid. The label on the front features the Nivea logo with some info about the deodorant below that and some little pink pearls in the lower left corner. At the back of the bottle there is another label that you can peel back to reveal more information like the ingredients and directions of use How long does it last? The front of the bottle states that it lasts for 24 hours but honestly: It doesn`t and I haven`t found any deodorant that does by now. I`m a very active person using my bike whenever I can, going to the gym etc. Therefore it`s just not strong enough; even if you apply it several times a day. It's enough to keep you going during the day when you`re not too active, e.g. sitting at uni, but never ever for 24 hours. A 50 ml glass-bottle lasts for about a month depending on how often you apply it. Price and Size This roll-on has a reasonable price. 50 ml costs around £2 but there are surely deals, such as ‘buy-one-get-one-free’, on Boots and other shops. Conclusion: Nivea Pearl&Beauty is an affordable, light scented roll-on deodorant that keeps you fresh for a couple of hours and doesn`t leave white marks. Worth trying but not my favourite one. |
