I am not a big fan of electric razor, cause you always need a charger to take with you - it´s very unhandy. That is why I decided very early to shave my beard with a manual razor. BUT you have to be very careful of what you buy. My experience is that cheap disposable razor leave behind a completely disaster: razor burn and rifts on your skin. I tried many of them but even after-shave balm or shaving gel couldn´t help. My latest discovery was Gillette Mach 3 Turbo Razor. I´m so happy that I could find a razor that doesn´t ruin my skin. A friend of mine recommended me Gillette as he had very good experiences with this brand. Design: I think Gillette Mach 3 Turbo looks very stylish in its grey and black colours. The razor still has textured rubber grips and metal grooves for better handling and control. The single-point docking makes it very easy to change the blades. Also forward-pivoting cartridge head ensures that the three blades always remain in the optional shaving position. Ten enhanced soft and protective microfins proceed the blades to shave evenly. A patented Indicator Lubricating Strip improves razor glide. The green stripe fades if you are not longer getting the optimal shave and you should change the blade. Anti-friction blades reduce resistance and removes more of each hair. Application: It is always better to use shaving gel before you actually shave. That reduces slash wounds and you will get a smoothier skin after shaving. 1. I embrocate my face with shaving gel 2. I use Gillette Turbo easily from one direction to another, even against the grain. The technology of Gillette Turbo is good enough to do that with no bad results. 3. I wash my face and embrocate some after-shave balm (L'Oreal Men expert, Vita Lift) Effect: It is unbelievable how soft and smooth my skin feels after shaving it. Gillette gives a very close shave with less irritation and a great comfort whilst holding the razor. I am so glad that I found a method to make myself look younger :). WHY GILLETTE MACH 3 TURBO RAZOR? Well, beside from the fact that I think it is the best manual razor on the market, I find no big difference between the original Gillette Mach 3. It looks better now and the glide improved a bit. Price: I think the price for the razor is justifiable but the blades are very expensive. I try to use them very long. They are easy to clean, so there so is no point to buy them persistently. Result: I gave Gillette Mach 3 Turbo Razor 5 stars because (beside from the price of extra blades) this technology is just excellent for people with abundant crop of hair. |
