When it comes to tea I am very highbrow. I like tiny breaks during the day that I use for a cup of black tea with some buscuits (e.g. Mc Vities). My favourite sort of black tea is Punjana Tea, which is produced by the Thompson family. Over 100 years they have been buying and blending tea of Assam and Kenyan tea leaves (according to the information of the pack and website: www.punjana.com). Packaging and Design: The package always combines the colours shimmery red and gold with the white written label, a picture of the Thompsons family and a description of Punjana Tea. The dot over the j (in word Punjana) is illustrated as a green tea leaf. Usually I buy a box of 440 teabags (around £5) - thats profitable. But generally a box of 80 teabags costs around 99p. The design is very addressing because it looks so nobly. But the price is still very good for that fact. My first impression was excellent because it looks very upmarket. The tea: How I said it before the tea is made of Assam and Kenyan tea leaves - nice strong and tasteful golden liquid. Punjana smells very delicious, a bit sweet and not too overpowering. It also depends on how you like your tea - either strong or mild. You just have to experimentalise with the teabags. The Thompson Guide to a Better Cup of Tea (www.punjana.com) Follow our tips below, and find out how to make the perfect cup of tea... 1. Use only freshly drawn water. (re-boiling water takes the oxygen out and stops the tea from brewing properly). 2. Pre-heat the pot or mug. 3. Make sure the water is boiling when pouring onto the tea. "Off the boil" water doesn´t infuse tea properly. 4. Brew for at least a minute, and don´t be afraid to stir the tea. (a tea bag floating on top isn´t doing its job). 5. Sit back. Now, doesn´t that taste better! Result: I rate this product with 5 stars because its a delicious and good quality tea. Teabags are well made and do not rip.The price is very good for such a great tea. Punjana fulfils all criteria for an excellent tea! |
