Pros: Everything around the taste!
Cons: Not suitable for healthy diet, not everybodies cuppa
I am a person who indeed pay attention to a healthy diet but when it comes to sweets and new stuff I want to try it, even with drinks.

Luckily the beverage Dr Pepper is easy to get over here in UK, even if it is made in USA. The pharmacist Charles Alderton came up with this soft drink in 1885 (one year earlier then Coca-Cola) in Texas and nearly 20 years later it was sold out everywhere in the US. It is marketed in North America, South America and Europe by Dr Pepper Snapple Group. Nowadays Dr Pepper is available in nearly all countries all over world - more or less with great success.

The product:
Even if Dr Pepper looks and smells a bit like Cola it is NOT comparable with it. It is sweet- no doubt- but it contains rich bold flavours of fruits and herbs that makes the taste so special. It remembers a bit on Cola because it also contains high fructose corn syrup.
It is very hard to describe Dr Pepper´s taste, you just have to try it. It´s no strawberry, no apple, nor root beer, neither Cola. Dr. Pepper is just unique and very refreshing when you are taking it out of your fridge and take a slug of it.
I made the experience that one bottle is just enough at once. Here in UK you get in also as a 1,5 l bottle, but that is sometimes too much. You have to savour it slowly, so that you devine the taste on your own perspective.

Ingredients:
water, sugar, carbon dioxide, high fructose corn syrup, phosphoric acid, flavouring, caffeine.

The recipe is naturally secret, otherwise too many other concerns would fake it. Even though Dr Pepper concern made public that there is no plumjuice in it.

Meanwhile Dr Pepper is also available as
Diet Dr Pepper (without sugar)
Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper
Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper
Caffeine Free Dr Pepper
Caffeine Free Diet Dr Pepper

As you can see there are many different alternatives to the original Dr Pepper even if I like it the most.

But as a bad result with nearly all soft drinks (beside water and juice) it contains a lot of sugar or similar ingredients and thats why not very healthy for your teeth or other body parts. Because it is so sweet, some people would not like it but for people who have a sweet tooth it is definetely the right thing to try!

Result:
It is great to try something new, even cause its Dr Pepper. Just in case you misperceived it:
Dr Pepper is not comparible with other soft drinks like Cola And it is no poor imitation of Coka Cola - au contraire it is even better.
