‘Crispy Fruit Slices’ can be part of a healthy diet. One slice contains 56 Kcal and just 1,2g fat. They are a very tasty but healthy treat as they are crispy and sweet as usual biscuits, filled with a choice of extremely tasty fruit/sultana fillings but low in fat. One packet contains five individually wrapped packs each filled with 3three biscuits. So eating a whole pack means a calorie intake of just 168 what I think is very good for such a long lasting treat. These three slices are not just delicious but also fill your stomach as they contain all these dried fruits and therefore fibre. Flavours: Apple & Sultana, Forest Fruit, Orange & Sultana, Wholemeal Rasberry & Cranberry, Choc Chip I`ve tried the first three and they were all good, although I liked ‘Forest Fruit’ best. There are sultanas and cranberries in there what makes a great mix. Apple&Sultana tastes very strong with cinammon and reminds me of Christmas. You don`t taste the sulatanas very much as the cinammon taste is that strong. All three have a sugar coating in top what is really nice. There is a slightly chewy aspect to these biscuits which come from the filling but the biscuit creates a suitable crunchy aspect in contrast. Price: A pack of 5 costs around £1.69 depending on where you shop. I usually buy them on shop offers. Then you get to packs for just 2 pound what I find very cheap for such a nice and healthy snack. There are many other products of the Go Ahead range such as ‘Yoghurt Breaks’ which I even like better. Summarising I`d say that ‘Go Ahead Crispy Fruit Slices’ are a great alternative to ordinary biscuits. Go ahead! ;) |
