I really like music and was always quite unhappy about not having a stereo at my room at the dorm. Also I hated listening to music on MySpace or YouTube with my crappy notebook speakers. Hence I started looking for some external PC speakers. Being a student I didn’t want to spend too much money. On the other hand I don’t have enough knowledge to get from some data if a multimedia product is good or not. As a result I started looking for brands I know hoping I’d find something affordable. I was quite surprised when I came across the Logitech S 120 speakers. It’s a pair of black speakers that you plug in the headphones output. For people who would prefer a USB connection there is an according model available (Logitech S 150). The left channel and the right channel speaker both have 1.15 Watt each. The speakers have a bandwidth of 50Hz – 20kHz. I find it very convenient that the on/off button which is on the right speaker is also used to adjust volume. I’m really satisfied with them. Of course, my expectations weren’t terribly high: I just want to listen to music louder than whispering without having sidetones. Although I have to say that the sound is surprisingly good even at max volume! I paid £7.50 which is better than ok considering that it’s Logitech and has 3 years guarantee. |
