Pros: Good Rates

Pros: they were local to us, had a good rate at the time .

Cons: debits were never taken on time, staff were not always very helpful

Pros: Competitive savings rates (guarantee to follow the base rate), easy to use internet site, future potential for de - mutualising

Cons: not easy to find the branches  -  but that's ok if you're happy surfing !

Pros: A mutual with good customer care

Cons: No branches near me

Pros: Good cost mortgage

Pros: Local, convenient, some accounts pay really good rates of interest

Cons: Direct debits can bounce even when the money is in the account, low funds charges

Pros: Small, very efficient and caring, good interest rates !

Cons: Mainly located in the West Mids area .

Pros: small, friendly yet efficient staff and service, competitive interest rates, easy to contact own branch directly !  !

Cons: not many branches (though anyone in Uk can open accounts via post, phone or website you do NOT need to visit the branch)

Pros: A long - established major Building Society

Cons: Not the best rates of interest and customer service is not first rate .
