Soothing and mellow!  Review

Pros: moving, crystal clear voice

Cons: might be a bit too calm for some of you
As you can see from one of my former reviews this is not my first Katie Melua album. After enjoying "Pictures" that much I decided to get her debut album 'Call Off The Search'. This masterpiece of pop, jazz, blues and world music hit the British charts in 2003 when Melua was aged 19. Her crystel clear, warm and touching voice is often compared to Nora Jones, as well as her style of singing is. Well, to me her voice is more girlish and direct and less lethargic than Nora Jones voice and also there`s a more striking instrumentation accompanying her. Unfortunately there are just two tunes written by Katie on this album: "Belfast (Penguins and Cats)" and "Faraway...
