Rucksack wanted!

Well, how to start ... I had a great Camel rucksack that is now aged 6 years. It accompanied me all over the world but now it`s just gettin` old. The zipper doesn`t work properly any more and there are some holes at the bottom. That`s why I`m now looking for a new backpack but: I can`t decide! There`s just too many on the market. That`s why I`m askin` you for advice. Is there a brand you can really recommend? Or: What is your rucksack like? Would you recommend it to me?So what am I looking for?I`m not hiking that often but I still need a good rucksack as I`m constantly on the run and: There`s always something I need to carry around. So first and foremost it should be a good quality rucksack (Good and robust material and zipper). As I go far distances by bike very often my rucksack should have a breathable back. One that isn`t just said to be breathable but one that really is!  ;)It should be a bit bigger than a daypack with at least enough space for  the files and books I carry to uni every day. It would be also cool, if it had several cases to separate things from each other. A bottle holder is not that important but it would be cool to have one, as well. And last but not least: Let it be a very comfortable one :) !Thank you in advance...for ANY advice!!!Moni

I like the Deuter Harvard 2007 Modell. Any experiences with Deuter or with this rucksack in particular? Thank you!

Hey grundlosmoni (why actually grundlosmoni?),

I don`t have any experiences with Deuter Rucksacks but I myself have a Camel, as well, and I`m very satisfied with it. You should try and check out the new models. They got a website. Something with camepack...

hi grundlosmoni!

My backpack is a selwa, a german brand that is specialized on alpine sports gear. My trekking rucksack is too big for what you want to buy but I can highly recommend this brand overall. It was my only companion while travelling through Australia, really comfortable and robust.

check out heir website. I'm sure you'll find what you need!

Thank you!

First of all: Thank you!

Secondly: Grundlos=cause- or motiveless, Moni is my first name. I chose grundlosmoni 'coz I didn`t have any other idea for a username. Got it? ;)

Gonna check the internet out now for selwa and deuter...

I finally bought a 'Deuter Harvard'. I got it for just 30 pounds on eBay. Usually it is around 40. Not a cheap one but I read a few positive reviews on it and checked it out in our local 'Decathlon'. It is really cool, 28l pack, lots of cases, known for quality and -what I like best- it has an airstripes system! Lucky me.
